Meet Sherry Lou Canino
Holistic Trauma Healer · Artist · Writer · Educator
Sherry Lou Canino is a Holistic Trauma Healer, artist, writer, and educator whose work brings together creative expression and trauma-informed healing. For more than 11 years, she has helped people explore the connection between emotional well-being, the nervous system, and the healing process — honoring the mind and body as inseparable.
Where it began
Rooted in Central New York
Sherry began her work in Central New York, where she facilitated art therapy groups for individuals receiving treatment for eating disorders through The Nutrition Clinic. She also led weekly art journaling classes — creating supportive spaces where people could use creativity as a practical tool for self-reflection, emotional processing, and personal growth.
Whether facilitating therapeutic groups, teaching art journaling, or working one-on-one with clients, her work has consistently centered on helping people build the foundation for lasting healing.
Recognition
Featured in Syracuse Women’s Magazine for her work as an artist.
