Why This Class

When grief has nowhere to go

A gentle look at why the pain needs somewhere to go.

Loss comes in many forms — almost too many to list. How many times, after a loss, have you heard the words “look on the bright side,” followed by something like “well, at least…” and you fill in the blank? That well-meaning person just told you not to talk about the pain you’re feeling, and to focus only on something good they believe you got out of it. They denied your pain — and that hurts.

Anger builds in a person who isn’t allowed to express pain and sorrow. This is how our society deals with loss — just stuff it away, until it turns into deep-seated anger that comes out as road rage, or at the person at the checkout, or your kids, or your animals; as drinking too much, eating disorders, and more. The list goes on and on.

Unprocessed grief turns into anger — and unprocessed anger turns into physical illness.

Is This You?

You don’t have to carry it in your body

Do you have any physical pain or ailments — back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, stomach issues, headaches, migraines? So often, it’s unprocessed grief asking to be felt.

Would you like to feel better — not just mentally and emotionally, but physically?

Would you like to learn to process grief, resentment, and emotional pain in a healthy way?

Would you like to feel calm when things go wrong — and teach your children to cope in healthy ways?

If you answered yes to any of these, this class is for you.

About the Class

Held in a warm, safe space

As you enter the doors of Soulfully Wild Healing Arts, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, safe container — a space that allows your pain and grief to be seen and heard.

The class is led by me, Sherry Canino — I’ve been practicing holistic art healing for well over a decade. Holistically processing grief means we gently weave movement together with art, so the feelings rising to the surface can move up and out. Everything is guided. No experience necessary.
